Bike Training

Please note that bike sessions, unless accompanied by a qualified coach, are not covered by the Club insurance. Participation is at your own risk. Riders must wear a cycle helmet at all sessions listed and all bikes must be roadworthy. We advise carrying emergency contact details on all rides.

Club Rides

Burntwood Tri ClubThere are currently no official Club rides due to a lack of leaders and participants. Several groups of members are riding at weekends or during the week so, if you’d like to join them, or are planning a ride and would like some company, ask around at swimming or use our Facebook or Twitter pages.

If anyone would be willing to lead some Club rides please contact the Committee or coaches.

Ironman/Half Ironman Training Group

We are currently starting an informal WhatsApp training group for anyone training for a full or half Ironman in 2022. Starting in the New Year we will be organising rides particularly focusing on the Staffordshire 70.3 course. If anyone would like to join the group please contact Charlotte on

Novice ladies sessions

Over the summer there will be sessions at Curborough track aimed at novice or beginner women cyclists. This will be a great opportunity to practice bike handling skills and gain confidence in a traffic free environment. There will also be occasional sessions on roadside bike repairs, bike maintenance and riding in a group on roads.
