An interval based session suitable for all abilities. The session will be coached by Ann Brooks, a Level 2 Triathlon coach, on tracks and grass around Stowe Pool in Lichfield. Meet in the Cross Keys carpark adjacent to the park.
For the two Bank Holidays this May, while the Friary pool is shut, we have arranged to swim at Abbots Bromley School. The sessions will be coached as usual. Please note the slightly earlier start time!
Dates: Monday 6th May and Monday 27th May
Time: 7.30 – 8.30pm
Cost: £5 (members)
Venue: Abbots Bromley School, High Street, Abbots Bromley, WS15 3BW
For those who haven’t been before the pool is on the opposite side of the road to the Coach & Horses pub. The entrance drive is through a wall between the pub and the zebra crossing. As you enter the pool will be on your right.
From Lichfield – head north on the A515 towards Kings Bromley/Ashbourne. At Seedy Mill turn left onto the B5014 towards Handsacre. In Handsacre turn right onto the A513/B5014 to Abbots Bromley/Uttoxeter (alternatively, stay on the A515 at Seedy Mill, turn left onto the A513 just before Kings Bromley then right onto the B5014 to Abbots Bromley). On entering Abbots Bromley go round a left bend by the Coach & Horses pub and the entry to the pool is on the left just before the zebra crossing.
From Rugeley – leave Rugeley on the B5103 (under the railway bridge by the Yorkshireman pub). Follow the road over Blithfield reservoir and, at the end, turn right for Abbots Bromley. Go through the village and over the zebra crossing. The pool entrance is on the right immediately after the crossing.
NB. The pool is on the opposite side of the road to the main school buildings.
Our Club summer social and BBQ will take place on Monday 27th August (Bank Holiday) at Curborough Hall Farm, Watery Lane, Lichfield – 4.00pm start.
This is a great chance to get to meet your fellow members outside of the swimming pool and (hopefully) with their clothes on! There will be plenty of food – just bring your own drinks – and games for the children plus plenty of space for them to run around. If the weather is bad there’s plenty of room inside too.
Everyone welcome – bring your friends and family. Free to members and under 16s, £5 for all others.
