This is an uncoached session however a session plan will be provided with options suitable for all abilities.

Cliff Lakes – Open water swim

Open water swim session

Time: Mon & Thur 5.30pm to dusk; Sat & Sun 8.00 – 11.00am (may vary early/late in season)

Location: West Midlands Water Ski Centre, Tamworth Road, Cliff, Warwickshire, B78 2DL

Cost: £5

Swimmers must register with NOWCA before swimming for the first time.

Showers and changing facilities available.

Confidence sessions and 1-2-1 available.

Run session

An interval based session suitable for all abilities. The session will be coached by Ann Brooks, a Level 2 Triathlon coach, on tracks and grass around Stowe Pool in Lichfield. Meet in the Cross Keys carpark adjacent to the park.

Time: 7 – 8pm

Cost: Free to members

Bank Holiday swim – May

For the two Bank Holidays this May, while the Friary pool is shut, we have arranged to swim at Abbots Bromley School. The sessions will be coached as usual. Please note the slightly earlier start time!

Dates: Monday 6th May and Monday 27th May

Time: 7.30 – 8.30pm

Cost: £5 (members)

For those who haven’t been before the pool is on the opposite side of the road to the Coach & Horses pub. The entrance drive is through a wall between the pub and the zebra crossing. As you enter the pool will be on your right.

Cycle Time Trials

Dates: 24th April, 15th May, 5th June, 10th and 24th July, 7th August

Time: 19.00

Cost: Free

Start: Opposite New Buildings Farm just outside Kings Bromley on the A513 Alrewas road. There is limited parking in the farm yard – please be careful not to obstruct access.

  • Everyone taking part must wear a helmet.
  • The session will be on public roads so traffic will take priority and the Highway Code will apply.
  • Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the session.
  • This session will not be covered by Club insurance. Members take part entirely at their own risk.
